period 2

I put the picture i took for spirit week. I wanted a neon background kind of like my picture. the musical symbols and boom box resembles how music is a part of me. Emilia is my given name. I like the way I combine and layered it because it fits in place and goes well with it.

PHOTO HiSTORY ASSiGNMENT:: Diane Arbus for 4TH & 6TH

I like Diane Arbus's work because her photos meaning 'the way I see' it is the randomness in life.
The way people expressed themselves not in a model status way but in a way that they are being themselves, silly human beings. I believe she catches them being themselves no matter in front of the camera. "Living life" for a better understanding.
Her settings also have a lot of say in it.
Not only matches the model in the photo but shows what &how the model lives &likes. Which I believe is a good part in a photo shoot because if the model is comfortable in the setting/enviornment then the photo shoot will come out great.
Both pictures show many colors in the gray scale which is good in these photos cause it does not make this photo plain.

ALBUM COVERR :]

SHARK BAiT'S new release. . .

ex⋅is⋅ten⋅tial⋅ism

    [eg-zi-sten-shuh-liz-uhm, ek-si-] Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun Philosophy.
a philosophical attitude associated esp. with Heidegger, Jaspers, Marcel, and Sartre, and opposed to rationalism and empiricism, that stresses the individual's unique position as a self-determining agent responsible for the authenticity of his or her choices.

This is my album cover. Photoshop was a big help with making this happen. My goal and view I wanted to capture in this cover was a variety of randomness. The body with out the head is JESUS. I choose to take the picture without the head because I wanted make a random but still decent picture. The shark is from SEAWORLD I cropped the picture to make it look like it was still on the water but leaving it in color so it will stand out. The background you see I cannot take credit. JESUS had took the pictures of the beach and downtown San Diego. I just meshed it in together making the picture of downtown a FADiNG place over the horizon. The grey pictures you see like the angel, the skull, the man, and the camera were just a help in randomizing it. What I have learn with this assignment was how to work with photoshop. Cropping, pasting, brushes, and many more.

PERiOD 6

when taking pictures of my model Nicole, it was not a difficult task. shes a pretty natural model which makes my job easy :]] lol ..
the light was a bit light so I curved the light and made it a little darker. I learned from taking these pictures that I should be more ordering. It is a difficult thing to do but it will make the work much easier. That would probably be one thing I would change.

this is AARON BOY :]
I did the same here with this picture. I made it a little darker. I wanted to make a up look picture making him kind of seem overpowering. I really like his look it's kind of a overpowering rugid look. I think he was a fantastic model and i don't know if i would change or do things differently.

DEVELOPiNG

PHOTOGRAPHY [02].For the first time in my life i had the opportunity to develop my own pictures. When I took my pictures of my models it was not a big situation for me. I really was more excited to be able to develop my photos and print.I have photography 6th period as well and I was not doing anything in class I wanted to develop my group and I's film. It was a very nerve racking thing but as well as a fun and exciting. When the lights turned off I tried to be calm. I thought it would be easy as long as I did. When I did the chemicals and put them out to dry and seeing the results of me developing was an exciting moment!! I felt like I have really accomplished something. The exact same way I felt when I printed. I did not think that the light hitting the printing paper of the negative was all it took for it to come out. I mean including the chemicals.I would love to do this again, it was a fun thing to do and I can't wait to develop again :]] When it was the time for my group and I to develop i was really EXCiTED :] and a little nervous thinking I was gonna mess up my film.
